NFT ART NO NFT TRASH AN ECOLOGY OF SOUL MANIFESTO - LIMITED SERIE PRINT, 2021
NFT Art no NFT Trash : an Ecology of our soul Manifesto
I do not support a Crypto boom operated by those who play a hype to sell trash, promote trash and inflate the price of trash. Whole cities have gone out of power East of Iran because of the Boom. In a myriad of ways the Boom is unsustainable - at least in its actual form - sucking on enormous amounts of energy, but some are already pointing towards the future and virtuous cycles are bring thread. We need to move away from the pre-pandemic nonsense that plagued the Art-world and seize the moment to re-evaluate foundations. On the other hand, the ongoing decentralized crypto-revolution is laying bare the possibility of the dismantlement of our demand-profit society in favor of a horizontal system. Automation philosophers and economists have been arguing that we own the means, the power and the technology to harmonise the rift between quantity and quality. To be able to restructure and re-evaluate we need to connect to the deep concerns of our time, to concepts of planet preservation and cultural enhancement. An Ecology of our Planet is inseparable from an Ecology of our Souls, operated within an inclusive integration of technology. As such, the release of ‘Ides of March’ my first multivalent Physical + NFT object will be directed towards the funding of my Venice Biennal 2022 bid, the GATES OF TURAN installation-exhibition sourced and produced in central Asia, highlighting archaic tribal culture and ultimately the forgotten craft of Uzbek wool women weavers.
