The New York collection is a curated selection of complimentary abstract works created by vanguard contemporary artist Firouz FarmanFarmaian in view of dedicated private and institutional exhibitions developed in the city throughout the years. It combines units from past collaborations with RH Modern, MANA Contemporary or Tribeca’s Salomon Arts Gallery taking from his Totem, BK and Hybrid series.
Set to be the first exhibition following the artists celebrated tenure at the 59th Biennale di Venezia - commissioned by Central Asian Kyrgyz Republic to produce its Pavilion - the collection expresses a desire to re-assess his pre-lockdown visual explorations overlapping tribal semiotic vocabularies and architectonic abstraction.
