PLAYGROUND - LIVIN ON A WEAK END REMIX EP - 2008
2020 Soundcloud Update Features Previously Unreleased Remixes
In 2007-2008 Village Vert Records gradually closed down. The Playground Project morphed into various international collaborative experiments creating an in-house label in London - StarLabRex. Collabs featured NYC electroclash duo StreetLab, electro-pop London musician-producer Session Leopard and Milanese electronic musician Vincent Vargas. These explorations into electro-rock combinations gave birth to the LIVIN ON A WEAK END REMIX EP released on StarLabRex in 2008 followed by Club shows integrating Paris based Milano Producer Vincent Vargas on decks. The experiment paved the way for the next album.
The Lost Album is originally part of a set of dense raw and funky rocknroll tunes PLAYGROUND had been creating while touring. Material to become their second album on Le Village Vert. The upending of the label left most of these songs unreleased. Versions recorded in their Parisian studio ( 2006-2008 ) are here compiled under the Lost Album alongside some acoustic demos and bootlegs.
