Following the success of Firouz FarmanFarmaian’s Kyrgyz Pavilion at the 59th La Biennale di Venezia in 2022, the artist will mark the 2 year anniversary of his GATES OF TURAN Installation with the private screening of SHIMMER ( ASTRAL NOMAD EDIT ) at Galleria Itinerate situated just off the Ponte dell’ Accademia, Venice.
Previously premiered at the Istanbul Mediation Biennale ( November 2023 )in collaboration with Italian curator Valentina G. Levy, the film was originally created for the Kyrgyz Pavilion on the occasion of the 59th Biennale Di Venezia as part of Firouz FarmanFarmaian's GATES OF TURAN Postribal exhibition in a 1:45’ version. The final 16:57’ version SHIMMER ( ASTRAL NOMAD EDIT ) will show in Venice for the first time to align with a limited edition NFT release in partnership with espace, a Dubai based art agency and dynamic gallery. Screening will be followed by a talk moderated by Valentina G. Levy and a reception deploying a selection of the artist's textile production.

Joint Programs will kick off in April with the release of the second edition of Gates of Turan’s Venice Biennale NFT collection on the Solana Blockchain to align with the preopening of the 60th Venice Biennale and the SHIMMERR exhibition opening 18-04-2024 at Galleria itenerarte Venice.
Originally dropped on the occasion of the 59th Edition in support of the Kyrgyz Pavilion, the 2.0 drop will effectively mark the two year anniversary of GOT’s launch.

2024 kicks off with the launch of a collaboration with the ARTWARE Design and Fine Printing platform, developing redefined formats through fresh Giclée editions around a curated selection of Firouz FarmanFarmaian’s established Paintover Collections.
Segmented in various volumes, the new Artware Gliclée Editions are to be deployed in separate dedicated tranches through physical and digital exhibits. VOL.1 will travel back to his 2014-2016 production reviving the RETROPROJECTION, QAJAR and VEIL series.

A connect at the 59th Biennale di Venezia led to an exchange with rug producer Amir Art Collection and the exploration of creative routes into rug making techniques and towards the production of the inaugural FFF art rug series, the Contemporary Nomads Collection.
Launched in Varese Italy in October 2023 the Contemporary Nomads Collection has featured on Parallel Vienna and Berlin Art week while showing in London and Venice through March 2024.
