Set as a site specific multivalent installation under the dome of the Royal Theater of Marrakech - the ensemble presented repurposed Saharan Camel Wool Touareg tent elements reshaped in collaboration with Southern Moroccan craftswomen over-painted with locally sourced pigments flashing transformative tribal semiotic vocabularies in a fusion of Amazigh, Sufi and Persian Bakhtiari tribal patterns. The install was presented alongside ORACLE, a freeform dance Performance created in partnership with Iranian dancer-designer Rana Rezapour and TAKLKHIMT TADOUNIT an immersive soundscape-videoscape filmpoem built on images, sounds and writings archived throughout the sourcing process.

The work - nominated at the V&A’s 2020 Jameel Prize - set the blueprint for future explorations leading to Firouz FarmanFarmaian’s breakthrough postribal installation on the occasion of the 59th Biennale di Venezia.
